During the winter months, I miss the sun, especially when you could be exploring the world for just £750 + VAT per month in a Ford Custom Dormobile Camper, fully equipped with a cooker, sink and a cosy fold out double bed. 

I decided I needed to test the Camper out myself, so took off wild camping in Scotland. Admittedly it wasn’t hot outside, but the equipment inside made it more than comfortable and warm for my rest after a day of exploring.

I spent much of my time outside, hiking and exploring the sites, which made me look back on another trip from the or last summer, driving across Europe in one of our BMW 420i M-Sport Convertibles, just £625 + VAT per month.

Personally, I enjoy driving whilst I’m on vacation, that’s why you’ll be shocked to hear that I recently visited New York – driving there is a nightmare. The city itself, however, is beautiful this time of year and reminded me of the film Elf starring Will Ferrell!

If you’re an automobile fanatic like me, a must-see is the New York Transit Museum, where I learnt about the Subway system, which has been helping people get around without the use of cars since 1904. 

One of my favourite things about the trip was a journey in a stereotypical yellow cab. My not so favourite memory, my flat tyre driving back from the airport!
